A Photographic Tour of Prague
Prague is mysterious, yet inviting. Walking through ancient winding streets and alleys and courtyards, the city just has so much detail, so many secret places – above ground, below ground, between buildings.
Nothing exists superficially here. There’s always more than meets the eye.

The best way to describe the feeling of being in Prague is that the city defies spatial expectations – in America, we never expect subterranean tunnels and vast stone masonry from a thousand years ago hidden behind a modern facade.
Even something commercial like the malls in Prague are tucked away behind unassuming entrances that give way to a huge open space underground five stories beneath the surface.
The city has the startling effect of seeming larger inside than out, as if its true dimensions were far greater than the external appearances.
From the castle above the city, to the monastery overlooking the city from the outside, this is our favorite city so far.

We’ve only just scratched the surface of the city. For such a small place, Prague is immensely layered with secrets.
It seems that every stone has a story to tell 🙂 beautiful place!
